Thank You for taking the time to learn more about our company!
Although new to North America, Pacific Blue Hardwood Flooring has roots dating back nearly 100 years. Our mill began manufacturing furniture and plywood in the early 1900’s. This mill operation, like most others, began as a family run operation and remains so to this day, handed down through the generations. In the 1980’s the mill recognized the increased demand for quality hardwood flooring products and began to produce hardwood flooring for several large European companies. Within several years, the entire milling operation was changed over to produce only high quality hardwood flooring mainly for the discerning Italian marketplace. Today our mill manufactures some of the highest quality flooring products sold throughout Europe.
After adjusting to the surge in demand for hardwood flooring all over Europe in the past decade, we decided to take our unique products into North America. Adopting the name "Pacific Blue Hardwood Flooring", we began marketing products in 2007 to specialized retailers and hardwood suppliers in the US and Canada. With a distinctive approach to marketing, Pacific Blue Hardwood Flooring has now established partnerships with floor covering distributors across the US and Canada.
Our main goal was simple and remains the same; to produce some of the most unique and high-quality flooring products that the world has ever seen. We recognized a demand many years ago as most unique and different products tended to be lacking in quality while some of the highest quality manufacturers in the industry produced only basic domestic species such as Oak and Maple. We simply wanted to offer people the best of both worlds. Pacific Blue Hardwood Flooring is proud to offer some of the most unique and distinctive flooring fashions in the world with species to satisfy customers from the most traditional to the utmost contemporary. We also take tremendous pride in producing all of these products with the highest quality materials and expert manufacturing techniques available anywhere in the world.
Naturally with high quality products also comes the high quality responsibility to our environment. Pacific Blue Hardwood Flooring is thoroughly committed to the preservation of our world’s forests. We use only the highest quality plantation grown and environmentally certified Baltic Birch for our engineered core. This hard and stable core material is grown on farms that consistently replant to guarantee the everlasting life of the product. We also make sure to use the highest quality adhesives available. These adhesives are 100% free from any harmful formaldehydes and have an E1 emissions rating, which is the lowest possible in the industry. We are also the only prefinished flooring manufacturer in North America to use the Heidelberg Silicon Urethane finish. This unique finish provides exceptional wear and tear without creating the powdery white scratches associated with most Aluminum Oxide finishes. The Heidelberg finish is also VOC free and is the only 100% certified Eco-Friend urethane finish in the entire world. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, we carefully select each of our species from plantations that are accredited and provide certificates of origin for each species. Most of the plantations are generations old and use a select harvesting system to only remove the old growth from the forest ensuring that many new trees will rise to take their place. Most of our species also hail from the most fertile growing regions in the world allowing us to re-grow full size trees in as little as 10 to 14 years. (A North American Maple, by comparison, takes 50 to 60 years to reach full maturity.)
A strong and unwavering commitment to the environment, a long standing traditional in high quality manufacturing and an overwhelming drive to provide the world’s most distinctive flooring fashions; this is Pacific Blue Hardwood Flooring. We invite you to experience our world of flooring fashion and transform your home from the ordinary to the extraordinary! |
