Australian Cypress is perhaps the most well recognized
species from Australia. It features distinctive dark
brown and yellow heartwood with pale yellow and
white sapwood all swirled around numerous knots
and open grain patterns.
NOTE: Australian Cypress is also known for its propensity to crack and
split slightly. Such splitting is usually very small and not overly
noticeable. This unique characteristic is not considered a defect and
can usually be expected to occur to some extent in most applications. |
